SolVista ski area is comprised of two separate yet inter-connected mountains. East Mountain's terrain is primarily beginner and intermediate, while West Mountain's terrain is primarily intermediate and advanced with limited beginner access. A separate learn-to-ski park features a surface lift for beginners.

SolVista is located two miles south of Granby and 15 miles north of Winter Park. Both towns are known for a multitude of outdoor activities. Granby is a full-service mountain community with a strong ranching heritage. Services include a variety of restaurants and bars, banks, convenience stores, medical services, automotive services, grocery store, florists, and shopping.
