Island Acres Resort970-641-1442
We are on three and a half acres of Ol' fashion ambiance of shaded lawns, just a half-mile west of Gunnison, located on the original Highway 50, between the twin 1928 bridges, in a serene neighborhood, away from commercial areas. We have 22 log-sided cabin-ettes, 16 with full kitchens. Most of our refrigerators have freezing compartments for your many fresh-caught fish. Our cabin-ettes have a cabin-feel on the inside and are in multi-unit structures. Each is decorated in its own style. Island Acres features clean and newly updated kitchenettes; we maintained the vintage features, charm and Ol' fashion ambiance. FREE WI-FI (high speed internet).
We offer good rates, are pet friendly, with ample parking for trailers and boats. Enjoy the superb views, outdoor firepits and grills, multiple picnic areas, and close access to the Gunnison river. Close to fishing, boating, rafting, hunting, horseback riding, hiking, trails for cyclists or runners. We have two National Parks nearby! Only eight miles to the Blue Mesa Reservoir the largest body of water in Colorado and perfect for water sports; land lovers will enjoy hiking and the archaeological site.
