Enjoy the pedestrian trail for walking, hiking, and biking to nearby park and Garden of the Gods.

The Barry Goldwater Air Force Academy Visitor Center serves as the gateway to the academy, providing information on its history and cadet life. The center is open to the public daily from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Enter through either the North Gate (I-25 & Exit 156B) or the South Gate (I-25 & Exit 150). The Cadet Chapel is open to visitors from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday thru Saturday and from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday. Guided tours are provided Monday thru Friday from 1 June - 25 September. Visitors may attend worship services.

Royal Gorge and Cripple Creek are 1 hour drive and prefect for day trip or do both in one day and follow the Goldbelt Tour Scenic Byway starting in Florissant.
