    If you have dreamed about an exciting vacation, high in the picturesque Rocky Mountains, this is it! The secluded, G R Bar Ranch Cabins are at 9,000' and 9,600' elevation, adjoining both the Gunnison and Grand Mesa National Forests. These completely furnished ranch houses with the comforts of home including new Beauty Rest mattresses rent by the week, so you can really settle into a vacation away from it all. Arrowhead Cabin, at 9,000', sleeps five and is completely modern. Red Springs Cabin, a half mile from the national forest at 9,600', sleeps eight and features a fireplace, propane furnace, and a gas range. Many Penny Cabin, at 9,600', will accommodate eight and has a spectacular view of lakes and mountains. Kokopelli Cabin is at an elevation of 9,450'. Rustic Log Cabin with cathedral, beamed ceiling, open stairway with loft plus downstairs bedroom, with fireplaces. Will readily accommodate 8. Modern in most all respects, complete kitchen, full bath, propane stove and refrigerator. Gorgeous view of mountain range and Lake Beaver. All cabins have complete kitchens, hot and cold running water, propane barbecues, and all linens. To insure privacy, the closest cabin is at least a quarter of a mile away.

    If you really want to get away from it all, spend time in an incredible setting, love nature, peace and quiet and crave a different experience from traditional cabin resorts and dude ranches, G R Bar Ranch is what you have been looking for! Take advantage of unlimited fishing in nine private lakes - no license or extra fee required. Angler's will love the variety of fish to catch rainbow, brook, cutthroat, German brown, and cutbow trout up to 7 pounds. Explore thousands of acres by horseback, jeep or on hiking trails viewing the local wildlife. Each cabin has its own corral and tack room, all tack furnished. Swimming, golfing, and rafting activities are a mere 30 minute drive. You are in the center of nature's wonderland, with scenic views, myriad's of wildflowers and wildlife - a photographer's delight. Take a drive along the West Elk Scenic Byway and record some of this area's uniqueness with your camera. Nearby, in Paonia, you'll find abundant orchards filled with sweet and sour cherries, apricots, peaches, plums, pears, nectarines and a large variety of apples. The town of Paonia was founded by Samuel Wade in 1882 when he brought the first fruit trees into the valley. In addition to Paonia's farmers, the area's economy is based on coal mines and ranching.

    Cabins are rented on a weekly basis and reservations are necessary. Lodging rates range from $1,300 to $1,500 per week for a couple. $100 per week for children over the age of 6 and under 21, single adults 21 and over 35% of base rate. A second couple in the same cabin is 70% of the base rate. Rates also includes 2 horses, all tack and unlimited fishing.
