Vacation Homes family colorado trail rafting

Tucked in the midst of 3 mountain ranges, the Sangre de Cristo, the Mosquito range and the Sawatch range, Salida, Colorado counts itself blessed to enjoy the shelter of such giants.

Named in 2004 in Outside Magazine as one of the 20 "Dream Towns and Adventure Hideouts", Salida Colorado lays in the Banana Belt, an area praised for its mild weather year round.

The Arkansas River is a launching point for some of the best whitewater rafting in the World. The Colorado Trail is nearby for mountain bikers and hikers to enjoy. In the winter try skiing at the much-praised, less-visited Monarch Ski Resort (just 24 miles from us) whose basin traps 300 inches annually of fluffy powder.

Our four bedroom vacation home in Salida is along the Arkansas River, perfect for fishing, rafting and enjoying Colorado's clean mountain air. The vacation home has modern amenities such as a big screen TV, wood fireplace, DVD & VCR players, modern kitchen.

If you are traveling with your dog or horse, call and we will help you make all the arrangements.
